A first-half header from Leonardo "Leo" Fernandes proved to be the difference as the Pelicans defeated Lakeland United SC 1-0 to capture the UPSL Florida West Conference Championship, capping off an outstanding Spring 2026 campaign with silverware.

With both sides battling for the conference title, the championship match lived up to its billing from the opening whistle.
